Penrith Selective High School Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)
Penrith Selective High School’s Bring Your Own Device program aims to improve student learning experiences both in and out of the classroom. Penrith Selective High School provides considerable freedom to students in their choice of technology and in their use of technology in the classroom. The school does so with the expectation that students will make good decisions with regard to their personal use of technology.
This Computer User Charter must be agreed to and signed before students are permitted to bring their device to school and connect it to school facilities.
Students who are experiencing difficulties or need support to have access to a device each day can apply to use a school owned device as part of our equity strategy. This resource is limited but every effort will be made to support all students. Parents are encouraged to contact their child’s Deputy Principal if support is required.
The BYOD program has been mandatory for students in Year 7 since Term 1 2020 and Year 8-12 in Term 2 2020.
