School Captains Book: 1950 - 2020
To celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the school in 2020, the school's History Club set about collecting details and messages from the past school captains.
After almost two years of work, and with the help of many generous and inspiring contributions from former Captains representing all seven decades of the school's history, this chronicle is now available for purchase.
With the additional time that COVID lockdowns afforded us to research further into the archives, the project expanded to include:
- A gallery of the 11 former Principals
- A full list of all Vice Captains and Senior Prefects (where elected)
- A full list of Prefects from 1950-1983 (when the position was paused) and all groups since the reinstitution of Prefects in 2017
- A collection of special images from around the school, including a colour image of the Towers Mansion (courtesy of old boy, Derek Thompson)
- The original Prefect Pledge from 1950 that is still used at the annual Prefect Induction Ceremony
- High resolution images of the Captains' Honour Boards located in the School Hall alongside the full collection of school honour boards
It is anticipated that a second edition will be published to mark the 80th Anniversary in 2030.
The current 100 page, full colour, first edition is currently available as a softcover for $40 including complimentary postage within Australia. Please follow the instructions below to order your copy now:
